Singapore telco Starhub together with Shaw Cinema house will offer moviegoers the ability to use their mobile phones to buy tickets via NFC.
Your smartphones with NFC feature will now be able to use as a ticket machine, however you will be needing NFC SIM card from Starhub together with the Starhub's SmartWallet apps.
It is amazing how fast NFC technology goes from one market to another. Pretty soon i myself will be getting NFC sim and will try this out.

The most awaited Samsung S4 comes with NFC reader.  Samsung always see the bigger picture nowadays. It comes with NFC reader and 1D barcode reader. Apart from normal use of NFC,  you can use NFC and Wifi to play with other samsung S4 devices on application called " Group Play " . I believed it uses NFC technology as well to share your current playing music with other S4 phones. I believed Samsung S4 is packed with new features.

Good News! We are going to see the new evolution of advertising.

"Adspace Digital Mall Network has announced a collaboration with NFC marketing specialist NFC Company to add NFC capabilities to its video advertising displays in 140 US shopping malls. It will enable advertisers to offer consumers access to content downloads, web-based games, promotions and coupons, maps and social media integration by tapping or scanning the attached NFC Tag placard on the side of the unit with their mobile phones.

The content will be location specific, allowing advertisers to target campaigns by consumer demographic and by individual mall." - NFC World News

We have been looking for Android application to help us format our tags to NDEF.
This is the basic format other phone devices uses like Xperia Lumia 820 and 920.
We have found one good android apps to do the job and called " Smart Tag Maker "
Simple, straight forward and can be use to reformat anytime you want. It works well on our tags and you should try it yourself.

Citi Singapore just released its latest NFC technology for payment called " QUICK PAY TAG" . They have joined the growing number of pay wave to use NFC technology in the market. Its a sticker that you can put behind your phone or other devices and use to pay bills by tapping it.
